Marula oil is Namibia's ancient beauty secret. Growing wild throughout southern Africa, emollient marula oil is collected from the seeds of intoxicatingly sweet marula fruits. These seeds have tough shells which protect the precious oil. To get the oil, each shell is crushed by hand using a heavy rock. Once winnowed away, the seeds are sun dried then pressed in a mill. After it?s scrutinized in a lab, the marula oil is transported by air to Shea Terra in its most desired virgin state. This method preserves the fragile vitamins and phytonutrients of the plant.
