We're really evolving into a "carry solutions" company. Our mission is rooted in a military "light infantry" mentality. The light infantry have to pack light and travel fast to the front (and behind enemy) lines. It's important to be prepared, but to also have the freedom of movement that allows an individual to react (or be proactive) at a moments notice. Man-PACK's mission is pretty simple. We make stylish, durable, utilitarian, and affordable bags for people. All in an effort to help them be prepared. About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words. Preparedness for Everyone How did you come up with the idea for this product? While on a construction site in 2005, a salesman gave Aaron a small sling bag. Aaron started using the bag and broke it in short order. Aaron went back to that cabinet salesman five times for new bags before deciding to buy something better. Aaron found that carrying a bag made him more efficient and better prepared. But after shopping around, Aaron found that there were no options for "the average guy." So, being a builder, Aaron decided to design and manufacture his own EDC bag. It needed to be durable, stylish, utilitarian, and affordable... and it needed a cool name. Hence, the concept of Man-PACK was born! What makes your product special? Some people say that a picture says a thousand words... Trying on a Man-PACK says ten thousand words. The fit of our bags are unique and the design is intelligently simple. We add features, but not too many. We focus on the style, the fit, and the function here at Man-PACK. You'll find our designs are superior to our larger competitors. That's because we lack bureaucracy and listen directly to our customers who tell us what they want. The best part of our start up experience has been the personal emails and phone calls from our customers and supporters explaining how the Man-PACK has made them more prepared. We've heard from new dads, diabetics, disabled veterans, students, blue collar working men, and the list goes on. It's really neat and very rewarding to hear how so many different people with so many different lifestyles find different uses for the Man-PACK design. We've also had 2 successful kickstarter campaigns and an appearance on ABC's "Shark Tank." This entire experience has left us feeling blessed and fulfilled in so many ways. Carpe Diem!
