Berkey Earth Filter elements require no priming and will fit in all of the Berkey Filtration Systems. However, please note Berkey Earth Filters are compatible with PF-4 Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Filters, NOT COMPATIABLE WITH PF-2 Fluoride Filters. Removes / Reduces: pathogenic bacteria, viruses, organic chemicals, chlorine, foul tastes and orders as well as other waterborne contaminates. The Berkey Earth DE, is a 3-stage filter. Stage one; outer shell - micro filtration of bacteria, cysts and particles. Stage; anti-Bacterial formula with the ceramic matrix inhibits microbiological growth. Stage 3; proprietary media formulation removes or reduces chlorine, organic chemicals, foul tastes, odors and inhibits microbiological growth.
