When on, a stream of 3.4 trillion ions per second is released into the air. The air purifier is engineered to release them in a vortex pattern that simulates the natural airflow of a room. The negatively charged ions then bind to the positive ions in the dust, mold spores, pollen, smoke, viruses, bacteria, fumes, odors, and allergens.
