mountain of dough we're here for more selfish Reasons- indulging our passion

Someone once said to sal glesser, spyderco's owner, "you must design in the
dark because your knives look so strange." true again. Our recognizable
appearance is a result of designing ergonomic functional tools rather than
applying lipstick and nylons to a pocketknife. We may look curious, homely,
whatever, but we'll never be called unusable or undependable. Making knives
that consistently deliver reliable high-performance requires an ongoing
commitment to testing. In 1990, innovative cutlery company Spyderco
introduced a knife called the Delica, a first of its kind on the market,

years. This is the fourth iteration of this keenly sharp, refined steel blade,

fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) handle has proprietary Bi-Directional
Texturing for nonslip use with improved ergonomics, while dual skeletonized
steel liners to improve strength without adding weight, and also anchor all
external components. A razor sharp VG-10 steel blade is flat saber ground,
with a remarkably strong tip and 0.5-inch blade hole. Crosshatched jimping
along the blade's spine further improves grip, and phosphor bronze washers
help smooth out the opening action. When it's time to move, a four-way clip
