The Austin AirHealthMate℠HM 400 is Austin Air's flagship product and has been helping achieve cleaner, healthier air in the home and office for years. An incredibly versatile air purifier, it uses a unique four-stage filter and 360 air intake which effectively removes airborne allergens such as mold, dust and pollen as well as also removes odors, smoke and a wide range of VOCs (volatile organic compounds). This allows owners to enjoy sounder sleep, healthier immune systems, all while reducing asthma, allergy, and chemical sensitivity symptoms.

Filter Components of the Austin Air HealthMate℠HM 400

Stage 1 - PERMAFILT Pre-Filter - The first stage of filtration catches large visible airborne particles in the pre-filter such as dust, hair and pet dander.
Stage 2 - Medium Particle Filter - Next the Medium particle pre-filter removes small to medium sized particles like pollen, dust mites and mold.
Stage 3 - Carbon Blend Filter - Then the air passes through 15 pounds of activated carbon zeolite which removes more than 3,000 types of toxic gases and odors.
Stage 4 - Medical-Grade HEPA Filter - In The final stage of filtration the air passes through 60 square feet of certified HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter which removes 99.97% of all particles as small as 0.3 microns in size.
