It may just be the most fun that you have ever had playing a game! STRATEGIES: It is not always about improving your hand! Watch the cards to your left. Try not to discard any cards that could potentially improve that players hand. Watch the cards on your right. You may want to hold the higher cards that your opponent has, preventing them from discarding those cards. Consider improving one players hand to prevent another from “going outâ€. This gives you more turns to improve your hand. “Go Out†quickly. If you have a somewhat low hand and you can catch your opponent(s) with several high cards. You don’t always need a very low score, just lower than everyone else. Take chances. Go for the “Forty Below†especially when you have a significantly high score. You will be surprised how often it comes through. Add ten points to the leading player. Give one player “Forty Below†or “Cancel†a card if possible after the leading player “goes outâ€. This could result in a ten point penalty. Watch for “chain reactionsâ€. You may have opportunities to improve other players hands to your advantage (i.e. - you could improve the 2nd or 3rd player to your left’s hand, preventing someone else from “going outâ€).
